How do you honor the man who defined modern minimalism? You start by taking away everything that isn’t essential.
My latest project is a tribute coin featuring the profile of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. To stay true to his philosophy, I focused on two core elements. The profile is a clean silhouette that captures his presence without unnecessary ornamentation and for the typography I utilized a typeface inspired by his own Allzweck a face characterized by its functional and geometric clarity.
In a world of visual noise, this project was a reminder that sometimes the most powerful statement is the simplest one.
